SYLLABUS; Functional Living Skills (FLS)

Students receive instruction in the same core-content areas as general education grade level TEKS, though the instruction is highly modified and designed to meet the individual needs of students. The Instructional focus is on functional academics, life skills, vocational skills, self-determination, and social skills. The general education curriculum is accessed through essence statements and pre-requisite skills that address the student’s functional level.  Inclusion opportunities are essential, with the appropriate support given to ensure student success.
